I believe he will make it a serious news show as long as he keeps Gutfeld off of it.
I don't have a problem with Gutfeld's style, but Gutfeld has boundary and impulse control issues and too often (in my opinion) inserts his brand of humor into normal discussions of the news (see tonight's The Five when Perino mentioned the word "impotent" to describe how Biden ended his first year in office).
Gutfeld needs to respect the time and place for his humor, but he can't seem to control his baser instincts. If he frequents Watters' show, he will just bring it down. He can't help himself.
Watters is best as a "red meat" host who has like-minded guests to discuss the news. He doesn't need to be a "fair and balanced" left and right panel host. Leave that the Bret Baier and the Sunday show.

Perino didn’t say that she quoted it being said in the news cycle.
You start by saying that you don't have problem with Gutfeld's style and then list the problems with Gutfeld's style.
Like Quinn's Law says, "Everything before the word 'but', is bullshit".
Since Gutfeld's style is too mature/immature for you, don't watch him.
I cant stand Gutfield or his “guests.”
I wouldn’t call baier fair and balanced
