I don't get her complaining about embarrassment. If she didn't publicly post about, how would anyone know?
One has to wonder why the town was named Ramsbottom. Theee must be a story behind that!
There is, but likely not what you think. Fascinating article here, for Ramsbottom, scroll down...
Welcome to the world under Joe Biden, Klaus Schawb, and George Soros (and his kids).
She wanted a leg of lamb but they gave her Ramsbottom instead.
In dollars (1.35 dollars per pound) that’s $41.42 for 5.2 pounds, or $7.97/lbs.
Good article. Thanks.
You’re welcome! Gotta say, the UK has some cool place names.
With the Great Reset, red meat is rich people food. People should keep that in mind when they vote.
“Clive are ewe ok,” quipped another.
lol

On the other side of the pond here in Brick, New Jersey -
my local Shoprite - just looked it up -

American Lamb Whole Leg Bone-In

So those Brits should stop whining...
3 shot from the front porch. The last, I dogged out (mini-drive) around the sidehill, moving the deer up the gully, where the wife, at the top in a foxhole, dropped a big doe, bang flop dead, with her 50 cal. muzzleloader, severing the spine.
Have made venison sticks, bologna, sausage, ham/bacon bits, pastrami, smoked venison tamales, Guinness venison and dumpling stew, chili, etc. etc. I dunno, maybe 120 lbs. of meat I kept, cost 4 cents/lb.
Well, it is the land of blood pudding.
“Alex Kyoto Brown said: “Cost of living is rising. It’s not poor Clive’s fault.”
First, the price comes out to $8.00 per pound. A bit more than Sam’s here in Texas, but not a whole lot. On the other hand, I suspect that most Americans have a lot more spending money than average Brits, so they will feel it at $8.00.
Second, if people REALLY want to know the reason the price of meat is going through the roof now, just look at this gentleman’s middle name. It’s all by design, so we all might as well get used to it.
And their neighbors eat haggis.
She wrote “Absolutely mortified at the price!“ I think she doesn’t know the meaning of “mortified.” She wanted furious, mad, incensed, angry, etc. But “mortified” makes zero sense.
Actually, as a Brit, she SHOULD be deeply mortified at her incorrect usage of “mortified.”
hag·gis

Now, I can guess where the word “awful” is derived from.
Typical of a deflection article by the MSM. Find some inane topic and beat it to death using social media posts, which requires zero effort. But whatever you do, don’t investigate the deeper cause of the problem which is government mismanagement creating disasters such as the supply chain disaster. Keep the serfs fighting amongst themselves.
Clive found with shattered skull, police baffled.
It’s the reason they invented scotch....
