I think you mean improved hydro power and nuclear power cars. Since only 2.3% of Swiss power is thermal and that’s natural gas not coal.
Electricity is mainly generated by hydropower (59.9%), nuclear power (33.5%) and conventional thermal power plants (2.3%, non-renewable).
That point is not even valid here in the USA as the vast majority of power is natural gas, then nuclear and about equal amounts of renewables and coal. But added together nuclear and renewables are 40% and gas is 40% so an electric car in the USA would be on avg 40% green, 40% clean burning natural gas which those plants are much clearer than and car exhaust could hope to be. And only 19% coal which all.ha be scrubbers on the stacks too.
