My gosh, what idiocy!
They only started to struggle when, you guessed it, they voted for the resident and kamalatoe!
I’m all for natural gas but have no problem with wind or solar or other renewables.
One time construction of wind farms does not replace long term manufacturing jobs. Buying the components for those wind farms from China does not replace long term manufacturing jobs. Sending more money to government so the wind farms can be subsidized does not help anyone. Choosing wind farms over natural gas and coal increases everyone’s electric bills. Just wait for a Nor’easter to hit those wind farms when many people rely on their power. It won’t be pretty.
A “lifeline” for whom???? Certainly not the people of the area, so it is a “investment” lifeline that takes money away from the very highly taxed citizens and delivers it as a subsidy for the private investment parasites who promote this completely inefficient and non-cost effective power generation. The generators do not last over salt water or any water, the blades to be made are extremely energy and materials wasting. Check out their construction... wood? (oh right renewable— but not).
A boondoggle- and always has been, and a darling of the political “investors” who are driving society right over the cliff with this stupidity.
Could check with Texas on the viability of wind farms as an energy source during the winter time.
Does no one realize these wind farms are slowing down the earths rotation? Nights are getting longer.
Lots of wind on the Vineyard. Let’s put one on every lawn.
I just hope those 837 ft. tall towers are in full view of King Obongo’s oceanfront palace.
My theory about all of this is “follow the money”. Somebody, somewhere, is getting the gubmint gimmeedats. No doubt they’ve greased the palms of the proper politicians...
