Losing it at 130 on a motorcycle is about 1/10 of one percent survivable. What he had stolen must have been pretty damned valuable.
He didn’t lose it, he smacked straight into a car. DRT.
Is there a ‘non-horrific’ crash of a motorcycle being ridden at 130? Similar vein as a minor chainsaw accident, there isn’t one. If it’s runnin’, it’s gunnin’.
Whenever I read stories like this about a crook trying to get away, I'm reminded of that line from The Doors song "Riders on the Storm"
There's a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin' like a toad
An unmarked cop car saw him acting squirrelly and ran the tag, it came back stolen. They followed him into a shopping center and tried a stop. He fled. Because of the area, time of day, traffic, etc pursuit wasn’t authorized and the chopper was called in.

Holy crap, that car was totaled and as fast as that guy was going, they never saw him coming.
