Also, without a Russian threat, what interest is Ukraine to the rest of the world. Hyping up the threat of an invasion is obviously in the Ukrainian interest.
Personally, my only reaction is that this threatened conflict has nothing to do with the USA and we should stay the heck away from it. Shipping the Ukrainians weapons to kill Russians with is a bad idea. It is destabilizing IMO and we should stop.
They want us to be “tough” but I doubt they want an actual shooting war or ground war with Russia. That would take years and could escalate into something monstrous.
