The videographer guy at Mt Hood Meadows in the early 80’s was one legged. You paid the fee, and he would follow you down any slope,run, or trail with the camcorder on his shoulder.
He was quite impressive.
During the Vietnam War, Fitzsimmons Hospital in Aurora, CO was the designated Army hospital for amputees. They had a special skiing program for amputees. One of my squad leaders was evacuated to Fitzsimmons after losing one of his legs after stepping on a bobby trap. He became a very good skier using out riggers with his ski poles.
