Usually if I see a flying deer it’s just been bounced off the front of a truck onto my car coming the other way.
Have not seen it in person but I have seen the evidence of vanishing deer on highways. In a split second they vanish into a pink mist to escape oncoming semi trucks. The mist stains the road for 100 yards.
