“Our military people are also having to deal with a lot of unnecessary and dangerously unproductive BS.”

Please tell me what BS. I spent half my life attached to the military and it was a lot more under control and defined than what the police deal with.

In the military you are given a task and told how to get it done. If you adhere to the policies and regs you won’t have a problem. I’m retired now, but I was a book guy and I never had a problem based upon not following orders and directives in a firefight or in peacetime. The poor cops can’t do anything without being placed under a scrutiny way overboard. Sure they make mistakes, but a whole lot less than the criminals they have to subdue. And too many times the cops are in jail and the criminals walk the streets.

I wasn’t saying the military has to put up with more BS than the police. My point was that the military is not immune to it.

The military is being systematically degraded by political correctness, politicization of leadership, social engineering, and wokeism. It hard enough focusing on the complexities and challenges of the mission without the weight of that kind of BS hanging over you. This crap is affecting readiness and retention, and that’s a problem.
