Ok, so I see it is in Florida. What can DeSantis do? Ignore the court orders? Executive order? We would be up in arms if Biden ignored the Supreme Court ruling on the mandate.

I am truly not trying to be inflammatory — I am genuinely questioning what can the executive do in the system of independent branches of government? I suppose that he could write an order but that would be subject to judicial review. The Florida Supreme Court is conservative dominated. I suspect that any ruling would be that it is ok to try if there is a physician willing to write the order — but at Mayo, as Jim Nobel pointe out — they are not willing. Force someone onto the Mayo staff? Mayo is a private organization. They take Medicare money so they can be forced? Then government can force Medicare beneficiaries to be vaccinated.

My finger has healed so I am back banging away on my keyboard ;)

I made the rather short remark because I thought Florida was a sanctuary of sorts for health care.

Eh I believe there have been times when governors have intervened in medical cases...

And I publicly and privately admit this Fed and affiliates tyrannical control is an issue for me as I have family members impacted by the mandates and actually had thought Florida would be a great relocation option for them to continue in their medical careers. As it stands now, one family member will be fired? terminated? after the spike of Omicron ends :(

They have been waiting for months to get a “verdict.” on whether their faith for a Religious Exemption passes muster with the “powers that be” (3rd party lawyers according to their supervisor) to keep their job...And if terminated, they do not know if they will be given notice, how their termination will classified, or if they will receive COBRA or unemployment...The institution has blown past 2 or 3 deadlines to inform employees... No information—and the family member has asked 3 times...great way to treat employees eh? No worries, Pilipino and west African H-1B Visas on the way...

Moving on...

Guess I set off a firestorm of sorts with my short post. Certainly a lot of comments ensued that may have covered many of your bullet items in your second post to me...

That said,

I am not a lawyer or a person with a medical career; and as I grow older, I believe that is a Blessing!!~~Example: A few weeks ago, I was in my garage cleaning stuff. I heard a loud thud and then all of a sudden, I heard quiet screams/cries—obviously someone was in pain...I walked out and saw a boy (maybe 10 years old) had fallen off his bike in the street. My initial reaction was: Oh my, he is hurt...What can I do to help him...grabbed phone, RAN to him ready to call 911 or his parents, asked him what I could do, was he OK, etc....

I did not worry about the insurance or medical issues or legal ramifications. I saw a boy who was hurt and needed help—needed to get him off the street before a car comes by being driven by some distracted idiot texting and runs over him, etc...There was no one there except me. I did not consult protocols/a physician or an attorney, I helped the child. I thank God he was OK, and that I did not have to call 911 to have a medical institution get involved...as closest one is one that I no longer trust. Very sad that I cannot trust a hospital 5 minutes from my house but they, like Mayo, are blocking Ivermectin treatments with as many legal resources as it takes...Even though THEY have seen a patient whose family successfully sued hospital to get Ivermectin leave the hospital after being on vent for weeks...

Back to the article:

Mayo said it was against their protocol to prescribe Ivermectin? I really don’t care about all the legalese with this case, just like the child lying in the road in front of my house, I care about this patient. HELP THEM!!!!!

If the article is the be believed,** then a senior citizen==A PERSON NOT A STATISTIC, Mr. Pisano, who has been on a vent for 28 DAYS?!?! with a 5% CHANCE OF SURVIVAL ought to be able to eat red cabbage, Snickers and Jelly Belly jelly beans if that is what family wants and they are willing to sign off regarding hospital liability...SHEESH!

Who is the hospital (and disclaimer I have family that works at Mayo) and their lawyers to deny the patient’s family any course of action that they deem might benefit their family member? Especially at this point in the treatment timeline...Who is the judge to deny Ivermectin to this father, grandfather—PERSON at this stage of the game?!

Seems to me prisoners on death row have more choice than someone in Mayo...

What kind of world are we living in??? 1984?!

I do agree that it is a hell of a mess...

Our government (we) pay for Abortions, transgender surgeries, exempt illegal aliens’ healthcare being exempt from all the mandates and fly them all over the country, yet they and the Mayo Clinic are forcing denial of a family’s potential end-of-life care for a family member with a FIVE PERCENT RATE OF SURVIVAL?!

(AND WAS REMDESIVIR PRESCRIBED to Mr. Pisano with the vent since CDC/Fauci protocols were being followed?!?! Is that not a death sentence in and of itself? Perhaps it is not true, tho I have read 1/32 chance of surviving remdesivir/vent treatment, and also that protocol is being followed due to financial gain...)

**I believe the reporting in this article as in Chicagoland, we have had a number of such cases—covered by the news...and guess what? Patients who were ALLOWED TO BE GIVEN Ivermectin were discharged and improved at home...Sadly due to the lawyers and judges, a couple of them died. They were, in essence, held hostage by the hospital and denied Ivermectin.

As I have said publicly and privately, I have family who work at Mayo and at one of the Chicagoland’s premier hospital groups involved in a court case—and one who works in pharma clinical trial research, so I am privy to a lot of information many aren’t.

BTW, at one of the “medical institutions” at which a family member works, they were told they are to support the CDC “guidelines” and more recently informed they will NOT prescribe Ivermectin...Seems there is no choice in terms of medical freedom in 1984.

RE: Jim Nobel’s comment, since they won’t allow an outside doctor to prescribe, WHY won’t Mayo allow an affiliated doctor to prescribe??—I see commercials how they care sooo much...As I have said, word has come down from on high from at least one institution to not deviate from CDC guidelines.

What is their priority?

The actions by these medical institutions have totally eroded my trust in the 2 premier institutions with which I am familiar. At this point, I would rather be seen at my dogs’ vet. A few years ago during a visit with one of my dogs, they told me whatever services were available for canines w ere available for humans.

And again, yes it is a mess—no doubt brandon is plotting to take away benefits from the unclean yellow-star unvaxxed.

It’s obvious something is going on. Plenty of doctor’s are complaining and being threatened to lose their jobs if they don’t prescribe drugs that they don’t believe will work. So yes, the treatments are killing people.

I do not know which doctors are complaining of losing their job — this is not something that I have seen or heard about in my rather large circle of colleagues .
