My son’s college requires a booster to return and we are really pissed about it. For stupid OMICRON, which is no threat to anyone. Thoughts?

If being a marathon runner is bad for your health, why don’t doctors warn people? I thought marathon runners are supposed to be healthy.

How about a year of online learning or — as Mike Rowe might advise — trade school?

Requiring an unproven, experimental vaccine to return to a college that you’re probably paying through the nose for doesn’t strike me as such a good idea. The more people cooperate with the authoritarians, the more authoritarian they become.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

It would seem there is a pandemic of myocarditis among the vaccinated. Until 2021 I cannot recall ever seeing that word in a news article

“However, others were quick to point out that because of the nature of the events she took part in, heart issues could well be common. “

Yeah those are the idiots that bury their heads in the sand. The kind that made good subjects for German empire in WWII.

“I thought marathon runners are supposed to be healthy.”

Actually, endurance athletes are at higher risk of heart disease than the general population.

AFib, in particular, is common in endurance athletes.

The human body was not designed for the stress of running 26 miles day after day.

Everything in moderation. Endurance athletics is not moderation—it’s extreme.

One Facebook user said: “Sad to hear the news but it has nothing to do with the vaccine, she does endurance races meaning she is pushing her heart to the limit.”

Strenuous exercise does not induce heart inflammation.

This might be the best lesson he's ever learned; he simply tells the college, "Absolutely not."

If the degree means any risk to his health, it's simply not worth it.

Get together with others and make a stand. Take a semester or two off if need be. A booster will maybe offer protection against Omnicron for a very short window. If there is no pushback nothing will happen.

Very common in soccer players and runners, I’ve been told (just very recently of course). This happens in young males between the ages of 16 and 30 in large numbers each year. Just look at the previous reports of young men being stricken down with Myocarditis while playing those sports. (You may have to wait a little bit while those records are created, but keep looking).

“According to Swiss-German daily newspaper Blick citing news outlet Tages-Anzeiger, Schlumpf does not suspect a connection between myocarditis and the Covid vaccine, although stating that she has been triple vaccinated and has never suffered from Covid”

Imagine using a condom and still getting VD - then thanking Trojan.

Please don’t let him take it.

He could benefit from a year off to travel, work, get some life experience before returning to college.

What is his field of study?

Certain things can be studied remotely.

Is it possible for him to transfer to a school with less idiotic requirements?

Or have they all gone mad?
