Horsey people who were active back in the 80s will recall that ivermectin was first marketed for horses as an injectable.

It was withdrawn after a year or so because of adverse effects. There were reactions at the injection site, and colic.

So maybe not a great idea . ..

I remember the injectables for horses. Strangely, it didn’t bother cattle. They still inject cattle with it. We use the paste on our horses (and ourselves now).
