The question is did someone in your family or support system make the decision for you or where you able to make decisions? FWIW convalescent plasma turned out to be as worthless as remdesivir.

No. My wife took me to the hospital, but because of existing ‘rona protocols, could not initially see me past the ER. By the time I saw her again, I was all hooked up in a hospital bed in a room.

I was conscious and alert the entire time. I told them about my pre-existing conditions, told them the names and institutions of my specialists, gave them the medication list I carry at all times, and informed them of its as-yet unrecorded most recenthings updates. I gave them a day by day account of the progress of my illness and how my pcp initially treated it (he told me w b at medications he was prescribing, and why).
