Or at least questiopnal education of your doc not to know Bastille day. In a hospital at least the ones where I work, we require nursing staff to tell the patients what medications they are receiving and what it is for. I strongly urge all people in a hospital to ask what and why they are receiving it. When I discuss with patient my plans at bedside, I tell them what and why.

I usually found out after the fact both times what I received by IV. With pills, I’d ask before taking them. Some nurses didn’t need to be asked. Others did. Sometimes if they didn’t volunteer, and I recognized pills as part of my regular routine, I wouldn’t ask.

But I was given all sorts of stuff without prior knowledge or consent.

By the way, I was treated with convalescent plasma therapy for the ‘ro. From what I can see on the FDA site, it’s still EUA. No prior knowledge, no consent. Told after the fact.

Can I get the ACLU to sue the doctors and the hospital that perhaps saved my life? I could use an extra million or two.
