So is delta still around? Or had it mutated down to omicron?
Omicron outcompeted it. It’s probably under 2% now, or soon will be.
That has been my question. What happened to the original version of covid? As soon as we heard about the first case of delta, everybody seemed to have delta. We then hear about one case of omnicron and now everybody supposedly has that and no mention of delta. Most people that do the home tests look for a second line in their test. Unless they get additional help, they wouldn’t know what variant they have. Do hospitals test for different variants if someone goes there or are we just assuming it is omnicron because that is what the media tells us?
