Yean.
Then someone will bitch because they called a cop on on a violent third grader that they were otherwise unable to restrain.
“They called a guy with a gun in on a third grader!”
I know from personal experience that there are vicious little savages in the system and teachers should have access to whatever means are necessary to protect themselves and their student and to continue on with their work.

I believe what you say, I’ve read some stories too.

Some is because of bad parents some is because the kid is “special needs” some I suspect is both.

When I see video of teachers dragging a child to the principals office I know that kid does not need to be in school. When you and I were in school if a teacher told a child to “go to the principal’s office” you went and you did not lay on the floor and throw a tantrum. If Heaven forbid the Teacher had to drag you to the Principal’s office you were in for a serious ass beating, now they attack the people dragging the child out of the situation. These teachers are there to teach school and should not have to deal with kids who are acting like a jackass in class. This is not fair to the teacher and the other students.

I agree with you some of these kids should just not be in school but until then the rest of us will have to homeschool our kids to educate them and keep them safe from this nonsense.

Yes, there are. As any teacher, myself included, can attest.

Vouchers that follow the child will allow the Private Sector to solve the educational (mostly babysitting) problem.

Of course, lowering taxes to a level where only the Dad needs to work to support a family (fatherlessness a separate issue).

We have many broken children and CoVid has done us no favors in that arena.
