I caught "mono" as an 18-year old college freshman and thought I was going to die - I even had a relapse.
Absolutely horrible. I wonder if I'd survive it now.

I was 19 and struck down with an autoimmune disorder, transverse myelitis and the doctor told me I probably had a cold or bug that weakened my immune system enough to all the virus that caused the transverse myelitis to fire off. Funny thing is I can’t remember being sick for months leading up to the life changing event.
