The hubs had two strokes last summer, the second one being the worst. While visiting him in the ICU, the nurse started swabbing his nose and of course I asked what she was doing. She explained that she was applying a solution to the entrance of his nose. This solution they found helped prevent MRSA, that even those patients who recovered from the infection still carried it in their nose. This solution prevented reinfection. The product is called Nozin, she gave me the empty packet to look it up. It’s all natural, and going by the ingredients it’s like hand sanitizer for the nose. I did purchase some for him when he was discharged, never know what would come home with him. Don’t know if it would work on the flu, but didn’t hurt to try it. I personally use a Neti pot weekly. But if anyone is interested you can research Nozin.

I think I’ll stick with my Betadine (iodine) nasal sanitizer/gargle mix. Pennies per spray and easy to make.
