I forwarded that Ronald McDonald meme to their corporate head office in Toronto and suggested that their brand was being damaged by the policy of the RM House board. The Houses are kept operational through surcharges on products (Happy Meals, cookies), and the monies collected in the restaurants are sent to McDonald’s Corporation head office for distribution to the Ronald McDonald House board (two different legal entities). I asked McDonald’s Corporation to consider withholding these funds until RMH changes its policy, reminding them that the unvaccinated are their customers too. I said a lot of other stuff as well, but that was the bottom line. I found the meme particularly powerful and I hope they will too. They’re particularly sensitive about their corporate image so we’ll see what they do. Thank you for bringing this to our attention here so we could provide some pushback.
