Scientists studying the Arctic say that 70% of infrastructure and 30-50% of critical infrastructure is at high risk of damage by 2050, with projected cost of tens of billions of dollars.

So - this is a mostly peaceful protest, by Mother Gaia?

Antarctica has become a wasteland with the lowest new home starts figures of anywhere in the world. The population has dwindled to an estimated total of 5000 or less and the majority of those who remain plan to leave sometime in the near future. Were it not for New York, Chicago, and San Francisco it would be number one in loss of population.

Except for one problem, there have been no weather trends outside the range of natural variability in the arctic. Currently worldwide temperatures as taken by satellite sensors have not increased in 9 years and 3 months.

What a stupid load of tripe.

Permafrost has always been nearly impossible to build on.

Hey BBC, go read a story about road building up their and the challenges they had.

My dad was in the first Army unit to drive the Trans-Alaska Highway. As I recall he said the trip took six weeks.
