...but they NEVER write “...the perp used a an illegal firearm he WAS NOT licensed to carry”?

For the same reason they harass people making legitimate gun purchases at Cabela’s or Scheel’s but never those making illegitimate gun purchased from car trunks in late night big city parking lots.

Subtle propaganda. Leaves the impression among malleable minds that only those ‘approved’/’licensed’ should touch a firearm and that those people are somehow ‘special’.
