Re: George Shultz

It should be pointed out that George Shultz joined the Theranos Board of Directors when he was 91 years old.

Shultz was almost 94 when his grandson raised concerns about fraud, Kissinger was 91, and former DOD Secretary William Perry was 87.

Holmes is lucky she did not get charged with elder abuse.

Not the first time an elderly person has been taken advantage of by someone younger. Won't be the last.

Also, Elizabeth Holmes was "the right person at the right time." All of the enlightened people were so looking for a female Steve Jobs. One just had to be there somewhere, they were certain of it. Elizabeth showed up, said all the right things, and was sort of hot too. That checked all the boxes of the old farts.

Fact that they were famous and once upon a time held very responsible jobs didn't make any difference at all.

The thing that amazes me is that when she showed Schultz and the others her endorsement letters from Pfizer and Merck — which were total frauds and forgeries — why didn't old George just pick up the phone and call the CEO of Pfizer and ask him if this was for real? Would have taken five minutes. I bet Pfizer's CEO would have taken a call from Reagan's Secretary of State.

I'm sure George Schultz knows someone who could get the private phone number of any CEO in the country.
