I have two relatives who are healthy. One had a cough this winter, but then, he always has coughs when winter comes. His sister whose home is next to his told him to get tested just in case. They both went to test.

Guess what ?? Both positive, both not even sick. His only symptom is a cough, otherwise he goes about his work in the house as if everything is normal.

I suspect a huge number of Omicron infections are ASYMPTOMATIC. With people getting alarmed, testing sites are backed up and of course, the more you test, the more positive cases you will find.

No symptoms = not sick. The symptoms ARE the sickness; the fever, cough, runny nose, weakness, general misery of COVID. Carrying the virus without any discomfort is not an infection, just an exposure.
