On Monday morning, the Vikings made what might have been the most sweeping set of leadership changes in the Wilf family's 16 years of owning the team.

The team fired coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman on Monday morning, according to a source familiar with the team's decision-making, parting with two men who'd been in their positions longer than most of their peers around the NFL. Both Zimmer and Spielman had two years remaining on the contract extensions they signed in 2020, but a day after the team finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the second straight season, the Vikings opted for a total reset.

I know right. The Raiders were basically telling the Chargers “We’re giving up, we’re both in the playoffs!” And the Chargers were like “Uh Uh, we’re still trying to win the game!”

Family had 8 seats at the Silverdome. Was there when we beat Dallas for the division championship in the 1991 season. It was a beat down from start to finish. The Cowboys focused on stopping Barry, and Erik Kramer shredded them. It was the loudest game I’ve ever attended and I’ve been to a lot. Unfortunately, we took a beating in Washington. Closest we ever got to the Super Bowl.

I admit that was a very satisfying win, but of course getting smoked by The Washington Football Team :) ended the fun. As Washington had the habit of doing to Detroit.

Siverdome memories. Many great sold out Lions games. Terrible place for most concerts I attended there. Stones, Who. The exception was The ‘84 Michael Jackson Victory Tour.

I watched that 75 Who concert at the Silverdome on YouTube, Pete was not a happy camper, the acoustics were awful.

Yes. I think free agents will be willing to come to Detroit moving forward. As long as Antonio Brown isn't one of them.
