Almond milk? Almond growers in California are under assault by the state for almost 10 years or longer.

Many of the smaller growers have uprooted their orchards and replanted with other ag products. I visited family down in the Bakersfield area a couple of years ago and was amazed at all of the burn piles of Almond trees and stumps I saw driving down state highway 99. Almonds require more water than the water authorities think you as an orchardist needs. So they cut your water allocation to levels unsupportive so what’s a grower going to do?

Leftist regulators ruining vegan desires, gotta love the confrontation but it’s really hurting vested people. Sickening actually.

Almond trees, and hardy almonds at that, can be bought in gardening catalogues.

IIRC, Gurney’s is one of them.

Most nut trees are just on the borderline for this climate for cold hardiness, but would work just fine further south.

If someone wants to have their own supply, they can order trees and grow their own.
