Sometimes it’s surprising when you find out some comedians were really foul-mouthed. Buddy Hackett was one that surprised me.

Holy crap. ABC news just broke in to regular programming to announce it.

I saw Buddy Hackett in LA (back in the late 70s) and had the same reaction.

Somewhere Chris Farley is saying, ‘you mean Buddy Whackett’?

Buddy was incredibly funny. Just seeing him on The Tonight Show was hilarious enough, but his HBO specials were face-palming-did-he-really-say-that hysterical.

When I see him on The Rifleman I only see the vulgar comedian

If John Belushi taught us anything...

With a Canadian groupie a #1 hit was based on?

No, I didn't mean Dave Coulier.

The original post I responded to referred to John Belushi dying in a hotel. He died after getting an injection cocaine and heroin from a Canadian woman named Cathy Smith. She fled to Canada and no one knew her involvement, until she sold the story to National Enquirer, which lead to her serving 15 months in the slammer.

Cathy Smith was a groupie, mainly with The Band. But she also had an affair with fellow Canadian Gordon Lightfoot. His sole #1 hit in the United States was Sundown.

In fairness, Alanis Morissette was a singer not a groupie.
