A Shelter in the Storm.
We have made preparations for our family to have a safe place to live together in case the world becomes so violent and the storms of man or climate become more severe. As we watch the unfolding of events we know that as parents and grandparents that we have made sure our family can have a shelter, a haven, to come to if needed.
We have a hope in God that He will protect His family and cause them to dwell in safety. If it turns out that our home base is needed that that time will be a special period of loving, holding, praying and celebrating together even if it maybe “the end of the world as we know it”.
We will all be in the kitchen cooking meals and giving thanks to God for our provisions and telling family stories; talking about how the Lord will transform our bodies so we can meet Him in the air without getting burned going through the atmosphere; to dream about the glory of seeing God and Jesus and the wonders of our new heavenly home.

Wow. You have summarized my sentiment exactly. It’s where my energy and all my money hqve been going. I periodically question if I am still sane. And then I pray for guidance... and I keep going.
A song to emphasize the point.

I have been hearing about TEOTWAWKI for about 40 years.
It’s good to be prepared. It came in handy over the past couple of years. But it’s easy to get drawn into the dark side of despair.
If you stop reading stuff on the internet…the world outside your door is a lot less scary.
We have a home in the country with lots of garden space and a lot of emergency food, ten square feet of freezer space, a good well, a pond, and two generators. If I can continue to get in to town to go to Mass, I’ll be okay.
