Some Angelenos say it's time to learn to live with COVID

As coronavirus cases soared across Los Angeles last week, Jennifer Chan entered Olvera Street’s Casa California in search of the colorful and decorative papel picado for her baby shower.

“I wanted something that said ‘California’ for the party,” said Chan, 28, a La Mirada resident who is six months pregnant and whose East Coast family was flying in for the event. “Plus, I really wanted to get out of the house for a change.”

Chan, who works as a computer programmer, has generally been extremely cautious throughout the pandemic — getting vaccinated and boosted as soon as she was eligible and leaving her home as little as possible.

But recently she’s longed for the normalcy of her pre-pandemic life.

A few months ago she agreed to allow a close friend to throw her an in-person baby shower, and over the last two weeks she’s ventured into a grocery store and even dined at two restaurants.

As the Omicron variant infects record numbers of people across California and the nation, many in Southern California say they are no longer willing to hide from a virus that has already killed 800,000 Americans.

Instead, they're ready to live with it.

From summer 2020 this should have been the case. We knew enough by then.

But hysteria and fear was needed to steal the election.

Yes Virginia there us a deep state.

Angelenos don’t learn. They live like sheep, and die like lambs. Unless you diss them....then they get defensive, agitated and angry.

What we know vs what is acceptable to know..

Starting with Rand Paul, and including 4 different doctors, plus Dr Martin. Plus Robert Kennedy Jr., plus all the extras that make a tight, well rounded, unexcapable package of full blown guilty verdict for fauci charged with making..spreading.. withholding life saving meds, .. causing a catastrophic nightmare for the living. And premature deaths of thousands.

Fauci being charged with mass murder and no mercy be given to him for this horrible disaster.

I work in Orange County, Ca. No masks anywhere unless some employer demands it or people feel like wearing one. The school kids have a tougher time and I think they have to wear a mask and get jabbed, unfortunately.

My employer does not require a jab. He has one jab but leaves it up to us to decide. As it should be.

To further reduce the risk of hospitalizations and deaths from the coronavirus, Chi said he'd like to see new vaccines become available that are better at preventing infections and provide longer-lasting immunity, as well as more effective drug treatments for those who are infected.

Wait, I thought the current jabs were safe and effective. Why do we need new ones?

I’ll believe things start to change when people in Montgomery County, MD are finally fed up. But that will never happen and that is where NIH is headquartered.

“Ireally wanted to get out of the house for a change.” …leaving her home as little as possible.

I’ve known and observed lots of these idiots. Our next door. Eighboe rarely came out for a full year. When I called on them to drop something off, he’d be masked up in the house and stand 15 feet away from the door.

I didn’t change anything except wearing a mask briefly in stores that were anal about it. That and taking the full COVID prophylaxis protocol faithfully every day.

Angelenos, you have been living with Covid, it has been a fact of life since 2020 and it is never going away.

The real question is: are you willing to live with what the government continues to do to you under the pretext of Covid?

Lysol spray has killed the coronavirus for decades, it says it on the can.

We haven’t found a cure for cancer or the common cold.

If the world wanted to teach China a lesson then a few JDAM’s into The Three Gorges Dam would do nicely.

Wow so you interviewed every single person in Los Angeles and found this out? Amazing, how did you do that? I mean you wouldn’t be talking out of your ass, right?
