> And, do you believe in evil?
I believe the root of all evil in the sphere of human actions is ultimately a result of turning our minds from God. If, either by grace or sheer luck, we have not fallen as far as some others, then we should be grateful. For so long as our hearts and minds are not entirely fixed on God, we differ only from the most evil person who has ever existed in degree and not in kind.
Do I think evil has an eternal existence which is separate from God? No, I don't think so; but am not a theologian so I could be wrong. My thoughts on this are probably somewhat similar to those of C. S. Lewis. After the credits have rolled I believe that everything dissolves into God.
Isaiah 45:5-7
5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Yeah, well, I don’t really care where it comes from; I know it exists. As a husband and father, it is my duty to protect the weaker (and meeker) from that evil. You’re free to behave in any manner that assuages your conscience.

(“There should be a whole lot more going on than throwing bleach,” said one woman.)
