No — home tests are specific to COVID, the PCR you are referring to as not being able to distinguish does in fact distinguish between six pathogens with one swab.

Exactly the point of my OP. They are wrong. They are designed to err towards positive for covid when they are actually saying “You got something”, go to the ER”.
This is why the ER’s and hospitals are filling up with folks who do not even have symptoms. The home test which by wording on the package misdirects them about the whole truth of the test it’s self.
You do not find this obvious and suspicious as hell?
