individual rates are very high

corporate rates are very low

The bureaucrats running Sweden also do not enjoy perks and benefits far more than the average Ole and Lena working class subject. As a Swedish co-worker of mine put it “Elective office is NOT a path to great wealth” there.

Well, the maximum income tax rate in Sweden is 50%.
That’s all, Sweden does not have any state taxes.
So if you combine the maximum federal and state taxes, there are states in the US with bigger marginal tax rate.
But what is really different is that Sweden also tax heavily the middle class and even poor.
Basically Sanders should be promoting - tax the poor policy!

They still have a private pension system, school vouchers, and no minimum wage law though. All against what Sanders is advocating for.

They do have a tax rate but that pays for college, pays for masters degree, healthcare, sick leave, vacation time, pension, etc. A regular Dr appointment costs $45.00 not our current rate $120.00 average.
