They used a drug that greatly changed the gut bacteria, while alleviating MS symptoms, but it would seem that a major change of diet or heavy use of commercial probiotics could also shift the gut bacteria quite a bit.

MS is mysterious as far as I know. I’ve known several people who’ve been diagnosed with it. Purely anecdotal, but they seemed to have a number of factors in common: women, smokers, thinner than average, approx. late 30s when diagnosed

“probiotics”
Worthless. Absolutely worthless.
This story illustrates the pathetic bias of our medical system, ignoring decades of doctors’ treatments - for which they all were branded pariahs - which clearly framed the effects of harmful dysbiosis of the gut (and those of the pathogenic byproducts they create).
There will NEVER be a single pill or elixir to resolve gut problems and the sooner anyone with abnormal gut symptoms begins to comprehensively address their gut, the better their health will be in the long term WITHOUT derelict medical advice and post-symptom intervention (the last place anyone wants to be).
If anything, this ‘pandemic’ may have been a catalyst for a dramatic shift in our medical system...but it will take generations to resolve. People need to act now, not wait for the next ‘diet’.
Find a Naturopath and get a consultation; you’ll thank me eventually.
