They were said to be put off by his neuroticism and the difficulties of being a royal in the tabloid atmosphere of the British media. Harry is not the only young person to have been horrified at a young age by the death of Diana, whose death involved her and her lover and driver being chased by paparazzi through a dark tunnel. Being hounded by the media while dating Harry must have been a daunting prospect.
