Because it PAYS to let the Pharma lobby win their lies, and then they kick the $$ back to the Leftie causes.

One should note that for a decade or more the Chief Lobbyist for PHARMA (Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers Association,Lobby group originally called the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, but they added “research” to make them look like they had....”science” and “ethics”. they don’t.).. was

Billy Tauzin— DEMOCRAT Leftist pretending to be a conservative and a cofounder, as an elected Democrat member of the US House- of the House Blue Dog Coalition, a group of moderate-to-conservative Democrats. Who remains of this mysterious group these days? There are none unless one is dreaming or fantazing. Tauzin switched to Republican in 1995, when the “wave” hit, saying that “conservatives” are not welcome in the Demonrat party— not then or now (and only when they are pretending to be, as we see). January 2005, the day after his term in Congress ended, he began work as head of PHARMA. Five years at 2million per, then retired his last year making 11.5 million/year. He wrote the Medicare Bill while still in Congress (and then jumped to PHARMA- having negotiated for them for this Bill. His reward, our demise, and tax boondoggle- Thanks GWB for the Medicare Drug Bill NOBODY wanted... but PHARMA!). And where is he now?— why, he’s now in “healthcare”... hilarious— Here:
