Similar experience here. Omicron doesn't give a crap if you're vaccinated or not. The majority of my friends, both vaxxed and not, are either just now getting over Omicron after being infected between Christmas and NYE, or have come down with it in the past two to three days.

All of those getting over it say it's like having a bad head cold for three days, then it goes away rapidly. Those just coming down with it say it feels like a bad head cold.

BTW some of them had the first gen of Covid-19 and they came down with Omicron anyway.

I agree, if vaccination protects at all, it only protects to a degree from what I’ve been reading. The same thing seems to apply to natural immunity from prior COVID-19 infection. My kids, with the exception of one, have had COVID-19 infections. All their cases were in late 2020 so they were before Delta. One of my daughters got a breakthrough COVID-19 case last week despite her prior 2020 COVID-19 case. It was probably Omicron but could have possibly Delta. She now has SUPER-IMMUNITY as far as I’m concerned.
