Neither is “gay”.
The commonality is they are all aggrieved preferred groups in the US.
Islam is the only acceptable religion, since they were so oppressed after 9/11.
Note that response to Islamic extremists - which constitute untold thousand, even countries, and the response to a relative few violent Jan. 6 White House gate stormers (which was wrong and counterproductive). If they had been Muslim the ACLU and liberal media would be asking "why do they hate us" and demanding a quick and fair trial. Of course, after a federal judge recently held top jail officials in contempt after they delayed prompt medical care for a Capitol defendant in their custody, the NYT find a way to turn this into a racial issue: At a hearing this week, officials said longstanding issues at the jail, where most inmates are Black, did not get much attention until the largely white rioters were held there.
