It’s far worse than that. There have been many photos over the years that show a very long, winding line of climbers just standing waiting for their “turn” to gain the summit; and that line stretches for hundreds of yards down the slope. A lot of the frost bite cases stem from climbers just standing in line for hours. Madness.
