OTOH, his work piggy-backed on earlier work. Messenger RNA, or mRNA, was discovered in the early 1960s; research into how mRNA could be delivered into cells was developed in the 1970s.
Are you implying that the age of the patents discredits his current opinion? Do you suppose he simply packed up his lab and retired from science after winning a few patents? Or is it more likely that he has continued research in his field and you just don’t like what he has to say?
So Watson and crick should own his patents? Please tell the patent office.
