How do people live in that shit hole
People living in NYC (as I have) believe they are living in the center of the universe, in the middle of all the action, part of all that matters. Living there gives you a certain pop culture credibility. Putting up with a ridiculous cost of living, walking past piles of trash in Manhattan on garbage day, living in small apartments that cost more per month than mortgage payments on a large house in Connecticut are all just things you put up with so that you can be at the center of the human universe.
This is all just delusional bs of course, with absolutely zero basis in reality, but it's what drives the left in New York.
