“5 bucks says they will just let all that snowmelt run into the ocean.”

Every reservoir will be topped off, full.

What do you propose to do with the rest of it?

How about using it to hose down SanFan and L.A.

They could both use a good douching.

They should have built more storage in the past to collect water from a season like this

Uh, maybe design and build a lot more reservoirs, for starters?

Build new reservoirs.

$2.7 billion bond fund to build water reservoirs sits idle in California

It’s been seven years since drought-wracked California raked in $2.7 billion in bond funds that promised construction of reservoirs to capture excess water runoff during winters.

When was the last reservoir built in California?

New Melons Dam north of Sonora has the last water project built in California. It was completed in 1980.

Then shipped right to LA right after they sponge Owen’s Valley.

Lake Oroville was full to overflowing two years ago. There was a FIVE YEAR volume of water stored behind the dam.

California DWP released so much water that the powerplant had to shut down in August, because the intakes for the turbines were no longer submerged. The marinas had to extend the boat ramps to 40-50-60 feet below normal low water marks.

They will let all this water go too. Gotta keep the plebs skeered!

Should have built more reservoirs and stopped the messycan useless eaters from flooding into the state. Duh.
