A 2020 package (5050 metric) is approximately 0.2 inch square (5.0 mm square). I found some Cree LEDs of that size on Mouser that looked even brighter than the ones on this package. The Cree ones had 4 LED dies on each package which can be wired in parallel or series.

Right - I saw those too, which is part of what’s got me puzzled: If I scale the image I posted above, the LED’s in that bulb are pretty close to 2mm x 2mm.

I probably ought to just buy the darn things and see how they turn out!
