Evidentaly the rear “trailing car” had the ability to shut the truck down, or manually override it. Wow I’m impressed. It was a human controlled truck and it even had a forward scout car to prepare for any unexpected situations. Last I have heard ALL of the self-drivers currently have a copilot in a control room.
This is done to build experience in the real world.
The one fatal accident had the copilot sitting in the front seat, playing with a phone when they ran a woman over, DEAD.
