I don’t think you understand what a Globalist is. What about the 5% we can’t produce (rare earth metals used in electronics, cell phones, and batteries), some of which are critical inputs? True, we can grow coffee here, but it would cost at least twice as much to do so. I prefer a $4 cup of coffee to an $8 cup of coffee. If you tax the other 95% of products that can be produced here, you protect those owners from competition and force everyone here to pay higher prices. So, tariffs benefit business owners (perhaps 5000 people), but 300+ million consumers now pay higher prices which puts more of our money in the hands of politicians. They spend that money to get themselves re-elected (e.g., taxpayer funding of free cell phones to poor people...why?) Personally, I think I can spend my money better than they can.

Slavery would be the most efficient economic model, right bean counter?

Because of terrible free trade economic policy we are now a client state to 3rd world countries, China and the EU. You have no problem with that even though our exports are heavily tariff-ed.

Moreover because of Free Traitors™ we are dependent on our enemies for basics; like medicines for Christ sake. So I hope all of you globalist just < expletive deleted > I would turn all Free Traitors into pink pulp if I were emperor for a day.

You cherry pick a few products like coffee that are not made here and project that onto a 20 Trillion dollar economy. You are a real POS.
