TikTok users are sharing ways in which they surveil their romantic partners over concerns of infidelity, raising serious ethical questions about technology and dating in the modern era.
A video posted to the app earlier this month appears to show just how pervasive such surveillance has become, sparking widespread debate on a range of issues such as trust and boundaries.
The video, which has been viewed more than 740,000 times, details how TikTok user @thearmanim allegedly attempted to obtain an ex-boyfriend’s cell phone messages by contacting his service provider....
...Others began sharing techniques that they claimed allowed them to keep tabs on their partners. One user said that they added their boyfriend to their account as a child, giving them the ability to monitor their location and activity....

The "Hot" part goes away in their middle 20's nowadays, if they ever had it.
The "Crazy" part just gets worse and worse.

I worked for Verizon Wireless and we were not allowed to share phone call logs or anything like that with the client, even if they were on the account or owned the account. They were supposed to get the information themselves from the website, which was easy. The reason was because VZW had gotten threatened with lawsuits, or was actually sued, because spouses would confront each other over who they were calling.
If you do not trust a “partner,” leave the relationship.
Nobody “owns” anybody.
Spying is destructive and nothing good comes from it.
Confrontation is a reaction of hate. It is not a solution.
The solution is to find somebody you CAN trust.
She needs to get a life. Good thing the ex got away.
