Looks like that’s parts + labor. Don’t know how that breaks down between the two. Musk quotes prices even lower than $5k - $7k range. Tesla has a China battery factory that just came online that may be reducing costs. I haven’t run across anyone who has actually replaced the battery.

Based on what I’ve seen, at 1060 pounds, it’s probably not a job you’re gonna do at home in the garage, unless you have a pretty good facility.
