Merry Christmas!
Last night, was the first Christmas eve service, we have spent in person at our Church, post Covid.
Between assine seating B$ post Covid, and my wife needing a hip replacement. We watched Christmas Eve on tv for 3 years.
My wife is still recovering from her hip replacement, but she wanted to go to church last night.
We got there early for close in parking and getting a seat on a cross aisle so she would be comfortable.
The church was packed with both young families and seniors without young grandkids.
Several dozen long time friends stopped by to give us hugs and say hello.
Today, we will be sharing a Christmas dinner with our hosts, a son and his wife.
Later at our home, we will call our surviving siblings to share a Christmas across America by phone.
One of my wife’s siblings, received a smart phone from his wife, who was dying of cancer. She programmed in the phone #’s of his siblings and their good friends with his promise to call everyone, once a month. She, also, left him lunch money to take his sibling and adult kids out to lunch once a month.
