The Clay and Buck show today had a substitute host from Texas and the whole 3 hour show was about Rush and callers who were helped by Rush. It ended with the Silent Night segment of Rush giving his last Christmas talk.
And I missed it. It was a local talk show host Michael Berry (who I can’t stand) doing a tribute to Rush. The little I heard of it before it was over brought the tears and I still cry when I think of Rush not being here. Even though I don’t listen to Berry, I thank him for doing this. I wish I had known. You ever thank God that you lived to see greatness before your eyes?.....I do and Billy Graham, Rush Limbaugh, Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump are my greatest heroes.
I started to listen, but our local station went to autopilot Christmas music really soon.
I miss him every day. His last year was definitely the fastest year in radio.
There will be many tributes next week when there is the annual focus on those who left us during 2021. Rush will be the greatest loss of all, IMHO.
One day I’ll remember him with fondness, but now it just plain hurts.
