He wound up with more wins than any coach in any sport in division 1 history.

He outworked everyone else. And he was a badass. He put those girls through physical hell. But it's what made them great. I think there was a stretch where PSU didn't lose a SET for a season and a half. A set.

I have seen PSU volleyball teams on TV...He is an excellent coach...

I wish him a happy retirement...

Dave Shoji, a legendary coach for University of Hawaii, retired several years ago...He had some health problems...Back then, I did wonder when Coach Rose would retire...
