We agree that Saturn V lifted all the Apollo craft and Skylab, but von Braun said in early 1961 that we don't have rocket technology that could go to the moon even while he knew better than anyone on the planet that we already had Saturn V technology that only lacked testing. He was saying it would take something far more than Saturn V's testing to be able to go to the moon. Yet, by the time all the Apollo missions had flown, only Saturn V was available as a heavy lifting vehicle and Saturn V didn't manifest the technology that could go to the moon.

Sorry that you think I am being opaque. So your telling me that the Saturn V third stage lacked the power or thrust to propel the crew capsule, lander and service module from earth orbit to a trajectory to achieve moon orbit. You should post your source for that.
