That’s how my employer is doing the testing. We unjabbed test. I asked for the saliva test because it’s noninvasive. I had to get a doctor’s note. I got one. We don’t have to test during holidays, just during work weeks.

Starting January 1, we have to submit our results, not just proof we tested. In my county, the saliva tests are delivered to your doorstep, and you drop them back at a designated fedex office... results in a couple of days...all for free. For now.

I think that’s causing my malaise... I wake up every morning wondering what will change/happen today. There is nothing I can count on anymore. Not career, not family, not church leaders, not government, not feds, not doctors. It’s down to five dear friends and unwoke husband. All of whom are vaxxed.

As far as job goes, I will persevere until I am fired... or June...whichever is first.

That’s great you can get the saliva test, but it’s worthless for your company if the results are days old. It’s just a butt covering measure for them and nothing to do with health if you could catch a variant and spread it in the meantime. “Four days ago, I was negative. Today, ya takes yer chances...!” If I were mandated (not employed), I’d demand the saliva test, too. Just say no to nano-fibers. Such a joke, and there isn’t a health professional with an excuse who’s ever had to do a “fit test” with a mask. They KNOW.

How far in advance can you put in for retirement?

Every time we think it's all settling down, more nonsense comes down the pike, and from all directions.

Similar boat here - I can go at any time, but waiting until the end of next September gives me 20 years which has a small amount of extra monetary help on top of the small pension and the 401K/IRA that I have. And if I get through September of 2022, I will have completed yet another fiscal year and will receive the "Winning Performance" bonus, if there is one. It's pretty decent, so I'd like to get that. Although if I finish this month, which I should, I am eligible for 1/4 of that amount, with it prorated through the rest of the fiscal year which ends on 9/30/2022.

I feel like I need to buy a couple of extra kits so I can experiment with them to test the process and how to get the results I might want.

So at my work, I have to (so far) use a Bluetooth enabled kit every week that emails my results to me and I share them with my employer and customer. Not free to us scum contractors ($26 a week), but getting paid is necessary right now. Just makes me say "Let's go Brandon" a few more times a day...

Can't wait to retire...
